Camp Horizon Camper Information

Eligibility
Any
disabled person over 10 years of age who, in the opinion of the Camp Director
and Nurse, can derive benefit from the Camp Horizon program. This includes
campers of all races, color, creed, sex, or national origin.

All sessions are general sessions and we do our best
to accommodate the session that works best for you. Please note session
preference on your application. If you have a preference for roommates or group
assignments make note of this also. Every effort is made to honor your requests,
this information is needed prior to check-in.
Applications are processed on a first come, first
served basis. A completed medical form must accompany all applications. Campers
are notified by mail following review and approval by the Camp Admissions
Committee. Additional information including detailed itineraries, directions and
map, drop off and pick-up procedures, and recommended clothing and items to
bring, will be mailed out to you with your acceptance letter.
Cost is $450.00 US per camper. We strive to maintain
quality staff and program at an affordable cost. A $10.00 non-refundable
registration fee is required by all applicants.
Limited help is available to those who cannot afford
to pay. The major funding for Camp Horizon is from donations by Lions Clubs.
Resources are limited. We do not wish to deny anyone access to our program due
to the lack of funds, but we are unable to fund all requests submitted. We must
fill them according to need.
